Commissioned by Queen Isabella I in 1476, the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes is a beautiful Gothic-Isabelline building. The cloister and its ornate ceilings are especially remarkable, and it stands as a symbol of Catholic power during the reign of the Catholic Monarchs.
