A grand baroque palace that served as the summer residence of Bavarian monarchs.
Schloss Nymphenburg is a magnificent baroque palace complex in the west of Munich. Commissioned in 1664, it features lavishly decorated rooms such as the Stone Hall and King Ludwig I's Gallery of Beauties. The palace is surrounded by an extensive, beautifully landscaped park complete with canals, pavilions, and several smaller palaces.
