El Retiro Park, also known as Parque del Buen Retiro, is one of the largest parks in Madrid. It belonged to the Spanish Monarchy until the late 19th century when it became a public park. It is a green oasis in the city, offering a lake, rose garden, statues, monuments, and beautiful landscaped gardens.
