The Reeperbahn is the main street of the St. Pauli entertainment district, historically famous as a sailors' red-light quarter and now home to theaters, live music venues, clubs, and bars. It is also notable as the springboard for The Beatles, who played early residency gigs in surrounding clubs during the early 1960s.
