Hamburg Rathaus (City Hall)

Impressionistic Neo-Renaissance seat of government for the city of Hamburg.

Constructed between 1886 and 1897 following the Great Fire, the Hamburg Rathaus is a grand Neo-Renaissance sandstone palace featuring 647 rooms—more than London's Buckingham Palace. It serves as the seat of the Senate and Parliament of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
