Perched on a clifftop above the ocean, the Regina Experimental looks out over the bay of Biarritz. Interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon has reworked the property's generous original volumes with local touches drawn from neo-Basque architecture, Art Deco and a seaside way of life, refreshed with a new décor unveiled in July 2023.
The seventy-two rooms, dressed in white, blue, dark green and Basque red, are reached via open corridors around a central atrium and look out either over the ocean or the Biarritz golf course.
The hotel's spacious restaurant and its large ocean-facing terrace are home to Frenchie Biarritz, a creative brasserie built on Basque culinary traditions. In the spa, treatments draw on the strength of the Alps through Susanne Kaufmann products, paired with Alaena, a brand emblematic of this stretch of coast.
